Thanks to my management mathematics lecturer, I've got to know a few ''challenging'' questions. They are so irrelevant to my module, cos they are given to us after break time. The purpose of these, according to him, is to let us have some fun time. Haha. Nice one!
-Add a straight line to complete each of the equations (do not add to the '=' sign):
a) 22 /7 = 11
b) 10 10 10 = 950
c) 5 + 5 + 5 = 550
d) - + - = _-If you have 12 apples in one hand, 23 in another hand, what will you have?
So far, I only got these few questions, cos I only had a few lectures with him. Will share with you all next time when I gotten enough questions to post here again. Hehe. U guys try solving then. Answers will be given next time! Happy solving. =)

i mentioned before that i had attended 2 beauty workshops held in my sch last week. so in this post, i'm going to share with u all the information i got. hope they are helpful. haha. one reminder, it will be abit lengthy. hee.
i will name the 2 workshops A and B separately. A was organised by a japanese comestic brand while B was europe. A provided information on basic skin care(for face) and makeup whereas B focused only on skin care. basically, B was there promoting how good their products are, through scientific perspective, while A didn't emphasize a lot on their own products, rather, they explained how our skins work in layman terms. but door gifts wise, B is much more generous than A. lol.
here it goes (adapted from workshop A):
=skin care=
basically, female's skin aged around the age of 25 whereas male's skin aged around 35 years old. (gals so poor thing) thus, we need to take good care!! lol
there r 5 types of skin (yes, 5!!)
- normal: supple feeling; suitable for all types of products.
- dry: rough surface; weakest skin type; suitable only cream/emulsion types products.
- oily: 'shiny surface'; strongest skin; suitable only gel/lotion/water-based types products.
- combination of oily(usually @ t-zone) & normal: same products as the oily skin, but apply thinner layer on ur normal skin instead.
- oily with dry surface: dangerous skin type cos it's difficult to identify & normally mistaken as oily skin; to check, after washing face, push ur cheek upwards n see whether there r little fine lines; suitable only gel-cream/hydrating types products.
a complete set of steps of skin care
1. purify: external-cleanser, makeup remover, scrub; internal-mask
2. optimise: toner, moisturizer
3. enhance: serum, essence
4. protect: sunblock- eg. SPF 30= 30x10mins=300 mins allowance of exposure (not continuous), after which apply again.
skin repairing peak period: 10pm-2am, 4 hours, miss the time, skin will not repair itself for that day, thus try to sleep around that time for it to repair. even if u sleep at 1am, there's still 1 hr for the skin to repair itself.
NB: this skin care info is applied to both males n females. ^-^
=makeup=
all steps are in order. for simple and natural makeup, follow a & b will do. of cos, u can be flexible too. cos this is just a guideline.
(a)base:
1. foundation- powder/liquid/cream type
2. concealer- for liquid concealer- if u are using cream/stick concealer, apply before putting foundation.
3. face powder- loose/compressed powder- use this if u are using liquid foundation or doing touch up on the makeup when u are outside.
(b)framing:
1. eyebrows- thick eyebrow->use eyebrow powder; thin eyebrow->use eyebrow pencils.
2. mascara- remember to curl eye lashes first
3. lip liner/ lip gloss
4. blusher-on cheekbone
(c)colouring:
1. eye shadow- start applying from the roots of upper eye lashes, den spread out.
2. eye liner
3. lip colour- use lip blush, less easily to be wiped off.
types of colours
-cool: shades of pink, purple, blue, turquoise, silver
-warm: shades of orange, green, brown, gold, biege, peach, maroon
-coporate: shades of black, white, grey, red
that's all folks. haha. sorry if u get too bored with this.

went to taka today for an appt on skin consultation (provided free by one of the beauty workshops held last few days). i felt cheated. the so called free skin consultation is jus a few questions asked by the gal there and a short explanation of which products to use. though got back a sample kit to use on my face, i still feel like i m being cheated. cos, 1stly the ppl there didnt treat us seriously.. attitude is not rite.. like abit look down on us.. esp when my fren n i asked how much the set cost for the public.. the gal jus said we students from our sch will get at the promotion price but the public will not be able to get it.. zzz.. i think after we left.. they sure talked behind our back de..
anyway.. after the super short consultation on skin.. we went to look for food.. haha.. at the basement 2 of taka.. at these jap booth.. there sells jap mua chee.. with diff flavours.. they only sell at weekend.. the 3 of us got diff flavours and share.. i like the red bean best.. 2ndly is the soy sauce.. a single stick cost 1.80..
den there was this mooncake fest at the big area at b2 of taka.. alot of diff shops/hotels booths selling mooncakes.. i bought durian mini snowskin mooncake for my parents.. they are quite tasty.. and i think is not very exp.. anyway.. there's another mooncakes from a particular hotel.. which my fren said their champagne truffle flavour is nice.. but when we reach the booth.. they are sold out.. so pity.. cant get to taste it..
continue shopping at taka.. bought a top at zara.. 1st time buying something from tat shop.. haha.. their tops are nice.. but some are out of my own budget.. while the others.. i find tat it's not worth that price.. so after trying here n there, thinking n debating whether to get all the 4 tops i tried.. i ended up buying 1.. haha.. who ask mi to be so poor.. lol..

it has been only one day, yet i'd already missed the time spent on yesterday afternoon.
after my lesson, followed by one-day beauty workshop organised by my sch (FREE registration.. was excited to see 'free' cos my sch only talks about money n money n money), we went to the cafe (one of the shophouses near my sch at clementi) to have afternoon tea. we had chicken pie, apple pie and a drink each. we chatted for quite some time, with the presence of the nice ambience (though no good furnish n aircon in the cafe). at that time, we all felt that we were experiencing the lifestyle of rich tai-tai. haha. personally, i felt very relax and content cos we had delicious pies (esp the apple pie) and we were chatting like there's no more stress over studies, work etc. hopefully, in the future, we all still have time to gather like this, gossiping, chit-chating and catching up. ^-^

yesterday and today r my last 2 days to enjoy myself before my sch reopen officially tmr.. i got to work harder to get back the marks i lost in last year's exam.. jiayou~!
had a basketball session on sat morning.. it's a rare phenomenon that i will wake up early in sat morning (not considering work or sch).. haha.. thus i felt very reluctant to move myself.. or rather hurry myself to get going.. anyway.. this session was good.. i enjoyed very much even though i got hit by the ball twice on my face.. so unlucky.. i seldom got hit by the ball one de lei.. haha.. felt very refreshing cos i hadn't been doing such exercise for quite a long time.. should really continue to have such session constantly.. if possible.. =)
today went to shop at bugis street with my uni fren.. wanted to get myself pencil case (my pencil case is around 6 years old le).. but cant find a nice one which is big enough to put my calculator in.. wanted to get myself clothes for the sch.. managed to get 2 tops @ $20.. but find no skirts/3-quarts for myself.. in the middle of the shopping session.. i felt very unwell.. den there's oso a time where i kept yawning.. maybe is becos there were so many ppl in that area.. shopping in a shop is so difficult.. walking down each alley is hard too.. there is a bag which catches my eyes.. is so pretty.. suitable to use it during school/shopping.. but it's expensive.. $49.90.. according to the shop keeper.. she told me it's a limited edition from japan.. there r only 3 of them in s'pore (wonder is it true).. she offered me a discount too if i wanted to buy it.. but i guess the discount wont be alot.. and it's really too exp for me(40 bucks can get mi 4 tops or 2 skirts in bugis street).. so i bidded it goodbye.. sob..
during the journey to n fro bugis, i'm always in the same carriage as the small babies/toddlers.. those whom i met r usually very chubby n have big round eyes(envy).. especially the one i met on the way home.. as my fren n i were standing in the middle at the pole where the door is.. this little girl, in the hands of her mother.. played with us.. she had her hands sliding up and down the pole.. chuckling away.. den the two of us smiled at her.. the little gal den slide her hand further down to touch my hands.. haha.. so cute.. den when we standed closer to her.. she touched our shoulders.. den i joked with my fren.. saying that she wanted to 'molest' us.. hahaha (k.. i know it's very cold)...
