today, i attended my LAST lesson in school ALONE. what a day to mark the end of my 10+ years of school life! i don't even have a friend besides me to talk cok with during lesson or celebrate with me after lesson. 好悲哀啊! haiz... anyway, hopefully i can finish this year smoothly! (same to all friends out there struggling for last year!)
had super busy yet fulfilling weekends! on sat, attended morning lesson, then went to cousin's church wedding followed by mayday concert!! sun, went to ashin's book autograph session in the afternoon then went to the same cousin's wedding dinner in the night. i was prepared for not studying for these 2 days and intended to chiong on the following day. BUT, i realised i have suffered from post concert syndrome (ONLY for their concert) and denial of preparations for exams. *CRY* TIME IS RUNNING OUT!!!!!!!!!!

MAYDAY concert
highlights of this concert:
-special 360 degree stage (main stage+2 runways+1 movable bridge, forming a rectangle). heard the bridge itself costed $100K!
-there's no security obstruction along the runway, thus the fans can get real close to them (shake hands etc) when they walked by. poor ashin, got 'molested' by the auntie-fans again.
-usage of fireworks (though not much)
-孙悟空was sang without ashin (except for last verse). the foursome took turns to sing. didn't know that they can sing so well. haha. but ashin's voice is still most powerful. ^^
(ming's turn to sing, thus the other 3 turned to him)
-the various acts they put up ->ashin claiming to be very happy to get rid of the other 4 and sing alone (same old trick); disappointed with our performance, and so ashin did a crying pose and out of sudden, monster 'punched' stone in his face; ashin as musical instructor, dividing us into 2 groups, controlling our volume of cheers and screams. haha. (still got??)

-introduction of each member after running up the runway to the bridge one by one; ming got bullied again as usual.
-surprised masa with belated bday song and in return, he provided us his 'yellow' joke. haha; ashin helped masa 征友(gf to be precised.lol).
(sang the intro 'la la la' part of 垃圾车. then, ashin led us to sing the bday song.)
-stone sang 咿呀呀, a song specially written for his 1-year-old child. so sweet. so touching too, i got the urge to tear..(side note: ashin was so touched to tears when he first listened to this song. anyway, he super dotes on little stone. to the extent that he wanted to 'buy' over his child at HIGH price!! lol)

-the well-performed solos on their own instruments from the other 4 members and the keyboard teacher. the way they performed was so cool~
-sing along and ktv time throughout the concert.
-they (except for ming-drummer) sat on the stage floor to rest, followed by reading out the credit list. this reading part alonewas very entertaining partially because part of the list are in english (supposed to be done by ashin but he kept seeking help from masa and stone). funny. haha.

-at the end of concert, they (including the other staffs on stage) danced along with the 離開地球表面remix version with towels in hand. the towels were thrown to the audience when the music stopped. (omg! i saw someone in the forum saying that ashin was shaking his bum when masa and monster did that! really rare scene. haha)
my thoughts:
-song list did not have huge changes as they had promised and their 闽南语歌are very limited. i was hoping to listen to 志明与春娇, 寵上天(i like the hand movements for this song), 拥抱, 憨人too. anyway, they got many songs and it's hard to satisfy all fans.
-luckily i got revised on their old songs. lol. some of them (like 九號球) were sang.
-洋葱was sang!! so happy =) i love his version~
-their stamina are really good (concert last for ard 3 hrs) especially ashin cos besides singing, he jumped with the different beats of music, ran along the runway as he sang and spinned around in circle. uncle liao still can have so good stamina. wahahaha. (oops)
-ashin's voice wasn't at tip-top condition in the beginning. luckily, he got better after sometime.
-they are really passionate about music!
-the 3 enjoyable hours passed away very very quickly. good time flies =(

worth going for their concert because:
-they sang for ard 3 hours (their previous concert oso lasted for ard 3hrs) -they got this 'talk less, sing more' policy (30 songs and started talking almost after 1/3 of the concert is over) -1 price to see 5 bandmembers plus the-always-stealing-limelight 的技师, mr shijie and his gang. he will do funny dance moves(like wiggling with music, bollywood dance etc) to attract our attention. lol. -the entertainment and interaction levels are very high. eg, see them bullying each other (so envious of their friendship), crazed with them.
post concert syndrome:
-aching arms (from waving lightsticks too vigourously. haha) -aching and sore legs (stood right from the start of the concert) -sore throat/ coarse voice (with all the singings, screamings and cheerings) -temporary partial hearing problems (from the deafening music-maybe i was quite close to the speakers- and cheers) -super tired and drained -missed their live performing on the very next day -emptiness feeling on the following days (maybe oso due to exam coming. =<)
-listening to their songs every now and then
PS: might have left out something for the highlights, due to poor memory. haha.
PSS: my camera is CMI, so don't expect much. hee.
cousin's wedding
church:
first time attending such event. it's a new experience. anyway, wanted to say that the buffet is nice~ quite classy and the desserts were yummy~ too bad i cant take my time to enjoy them, cos i need to rush for the concert.
dinner:
the ballroom had oriental decorations, quite nice. this dinner was abit different from all the dinners i had attended. 1stly, there's no shouting of 'yum seng' on the stage. instead, we just said 'cheers'. then, there were music performances put up by cousins of the bride and bridegroom's brother(aka my cousin) and his friend.
i have been popping cold tablets as if they are daily supplements these few days. so sian. i got flu easily cos i got sensitive nose (and this is also an added cause for my dark circles =<), not because i have weak immune system in case you are wondering. everytime, a yellow little pill at night will solve the sneezing problem for next day. but this time, it won't work. immediately i know that i am falling sick soon. and sure enough, i got a sore throat this morning and was feeling feverish. =.= please don't get worse. it is going to be a busy week for me with lessons on tue, thurs, sat and next monday, 2 wedding events (church + dinner) to attend and of course to watch my anticipated concert!
22nd apr is EARTH day. our mother earth's big day. i wish her healthy always and may there be lesser and lesser pollutions and damages. all 'doctors' out there are trying to cure her, though it is hard for her to have speedy recovery, i do really hope that she can at least not to deteriorate any further. we can do our part to help her. remember the 3Rs~ ^^
i was digging out my certificates and transcripts just now. it was really depressing to see my results getting worsed year by year, level by level. if you plot them in graph, you will see a downward sloping line. sigh. from used to score straight A's in primary school, to mixture of A's and B's in secondary school, to barely an A or B inJC, till now, i will be contented if i passed though i would like to aim higher. sigh. my brain is getting smaller? it must be. my conclusion is that i am getting stupider as i grew older.
sigh. wanted to stop this trend. but everytime, it's easier said than done. *cry* it's like everyone is progressing forward while i am still at the same spot, moving backwards sometimes. then the gap in between is widening at fast pace, i couldn't catch up nor would others slow down to help or wait for me. this is so-called reality. no one will stop just for you. everyone is doing for themselves. i will need to get used to it.
so right now, wake up and speed up to join them!! stop getting distracted easily!!!! be focused!!! concentrate!! work hard for my own sake!
i spent an afternoon, listening to those-i-never-heard-before Mayday's old songs online, just to warm up for their upcoming concert, as they will not be performing all the songs that i am familiar with since most of them had been sung during the last concert. haha. (they are coming next week~ excited!) it's quite funny to see them changing from boys to men in the music videos. how they have changed and become more handsome. lol. this band is already 11 yrs old (some said 9, due to a certain reason). i am not their fans right from the start, but i have always find their music pleasant to my ears. haha. i only started to 'craze' over them, or rather ashin (hee), since the zhi zhu collections. haha. here are some of their old tracks which i like. so fast april liao!! oh my god. oh my goodness.. my countdown meters started working now.. ahhh..
saw the finalised exam timetable posted in the school portal.. there is no changes made, which means there is less than 2 months to my exams!! oh gosh.. so fast! and yet my progress of revising is so damn slow.. so angry with myself.. but then again, the start of april will means that Mayday concert is coming real soon! so contradicting.. wanted their concert to come as soon as possible, yet at the same time hoping for it to take place at a later time, cos this will mean that my exam will not be that soon! (self-deceiving)

so stress!! meanwhile i need to secure a job before leaving for the trip.. if not, i will be jobless for a few months cos the job market is not as good as last year.. sob.. who will feed me if i got no job.. *no job -> no income -> no savings and no extras for spendings *no job -> no income -> no holiday savings -> no money for travellings *no job -> need to go find job -> need to spend on expenses at the same time *no job -> will be super free, got nothing to do feeling and seeing friends with job, myself without one -> depressed
at the end, i'll not be as enthusiastic as before in searching for jobs, my bank accounting will be in depletion and i will feel useless at the same time.. sian ah!!
